Burial of Willis Bunch, 69, Will Be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland
Willis Marion Bunch, 69, of south of Brashear, died in a Kirksville hospital yesterday morning, Aug. 15.
He had been in failing health the last year and more seriously ill since July 1.
The funeral services will be at 2o'clock this afternoon at the Easley Funeral Home in Hurdland, conducted by Elder Clyde Johnson of Kirksville. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland.
Mr. Bunch was a son of Frank and Frances Haynes Bunch and was born April 19, 1882, near Bute in Sullivan County. He was married to Miss Irva Belzer Dec. 24, 1902. Twelve children were born to them. A son, Horace, was killed by lightning Aug. 3, 1937, at the age of 25.
The wife and a daughter, Mrs. Lola Bunch, survive with ten sons. They are: Harlie of Green Castle, Mo.; Volley of Kirksville; Otis of Electra, Tex.; Erman of Kirksville; Asa of Brashear; Marion of LaPlata; Alvin of Heppner, Ore.; Frank of Hurdland; Dean of Sunrise, Wyo., and Dick of Hurdland. There are twenty-eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, also a number of nieces and nephews and one brother, Walter Bunch of Winigan, Mo.
Mr. Bunch and family moved from a farm in Sullivan County to a farm in southeast Adair County, east of old Wilsontown, in 1933, where he had since lived.
