Marie Holdheide, 70, 203 Hillcrest Drive, Coldwater, died at 4:45 a.m. November 21, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born August 7, 1928 in Minster, to Henry and Emma (Thieman) Schmitmeyer. On August 7, 1948, she married Greg Holdheide, who died May 18, 1986. Survivors are a son and his wife, John and Theresa of Denver; a daughter and her husband Joann and Tom Bohman, Springboro; a brother and his wife, Fred and Alberta Schmitmeyer, Minster, and a brother, Albert Schmitmeyer, Versailles; a sister and her husband, Velma and Bernard Wellman, Coldwater, and three sisters, Mathilda Poeppelamn and Elsie Borgert, both of Minster, Clara Schmiesing, Anna; and in-laws Thelma Schmitmeyer, Minster, Herman Hoying, St. Henry, and John and Mary Ann Werment, Coldwater; two grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers and three sisters. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Rosary altar Sodality and Resurrection Choir, American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles auxiliaries, all Coldwater, and Mercer County Council on Aging, Celina. She volunteered at Community Hospital, Coldwater, and at Coldwater schools. Funeral mass was this morning at the church. Burial was at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Mercer/Darke County Hospice, Coldwater, or St. Peter Neurological Center, Fort Recovery. Hogenkamp funeral Home, Coldwater, handled arrangements.
