Elsie, 87, of Minster, died at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born to Henry and Emma (Thieman) Schmitmeyer. On Apr 11, 1942, she married Elmer Borgert, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Orville (Jean) and Patrick, all Minster, and Thomas (Patricia), Springboro; two daughters, Linda Lopez, Fort Worth, TX, and Deborah (Michael) Kaiser, North Star; brother, Fred (Alberta), Minster; two sisters, twin, Clara Schmiesing, McCartyville, and Velma Wellman, Coldwater; sister-in-law, Thelma Schmitmeyer; sixteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Jane Norris; three brothers, Leander, Henry and Albert; and five sisters, Mathilda Poeppelman, Rosie Enneking, Leona Schmieder, Marie Holdheide and Henrietta Hoying.

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She was also a member of Minster F.O.E. #1391, and caretaker for her Uncle Stephen Schmitmeyer for 25 years.
