Messages are enabled on my profile but please use the Edit tab in the upper right corner of the memorials for all edits and transfer requests!. I will not be responsible for any edits or transfer requests left as messages, I may see them and get to them but I may not.|
If you are asking for a transfer either make sure you are logged into Find A Grave when you send the transfer request OR manually insert your member number into the email if you are not sure! Missing member numbers mean I have to send you an email and ask and it's a lot more likely your transfer request will just fall between the cracks.
Also, please do not contact me for edits or transfer requests on memorials I created but no longer control. As of June 2015 I have given away 90% of the memorials I created to other volunteers or to family members on the site. If you submit an edit or transfer request on my profile page if I notice I will forward the request to the current owner of the memorial, but it will not happen as quickly and it may not happen at all, so you will be much better off contacting the current owner of the memorial directly.
For details on the monstrous project to document the Forest Lawn (California) cemeteries that was begun in late 2011 and is still being worked on, you can read The Forest Lawn Project.
Please do not move a burial unknown memorial into a cemetery where I already placed a memorial and tell me I have to remove my "duplicate" memorial. The site rules clearly differentiate between burial unknown memorials and memorials that were placed in a cemetery correctly. For more information on the complete Find A Grave duplicate memorial rules please see my article Find A Grave Duplicate Policies From the Site FAQs
Please do not request the admins to merge cenotaph memorials into memorials that mark the burial space, even if they are in the same cemetery. Cenotaph memorials are allowed on the site (check the FAQs if you have any doubts) and some famous people have multiple memorials because they have multiple cenotaphs and many not-at-all-famous people have multiple memorials, if someone was willing to pay to put up a second marker for them then the site allows a second memorial to be created. There are many "accidental" cenotaphs out there because someone's name was put on their spouse's marker but they are buried elsewhere, these are still considered cenotaphs and are still allowed to have a Find A Grave memorial associated with that marker.
A disclaimer here: I do not intentionally create duplicate memorials on the site. Because I am using batch processing techniques I never even look at most of the memorials I am creating. If I duplicated one of your memorials either politely notify the current owner of the memorial or notify them with no tones of moral outrage (if you can!) and they will arrange to have the memorials merged or transfer the one I created back to me for deletion. I make every reasonable attempt to avoid duplications but if there is any difference between the two memorials (different names, different years, missing years) the duplicate checking will not catch it. Whenever possible I check the information I am submitting against state death indexes or the social security death index but that is no guarantee of accuracy, only that I have a source for the information I submitted.
Also, please do not complain that I duplicated your Burial unknown memorial and you found out about it later. If you have not nailed down a burial location for a burial unknown memorial within 30 days of creating the memorial and moved that memorial into a cemetery, your memorial has lost any seniority rights it had by being created first. I do not check the whole website when adding a memorial with a known burial location, only the cemetery it is located in, which is all you have to do according to the site FAQs.
Please do not take photos posted by contributors on the site and republish them without either their written consent or a disclaimer on their bio page stating that the contributor is fine with that, please contact them about reposting or republishing their photos. Some contributors don't care but others are quite adamant that photos not be used without their permission.

Thank you for the reply. I will hope in time to learn more about Elva's family by checking for future family tree connections at Ancestry.com. JH

You originally created Elva's memorial before transferring her page to me. Do you happen to know if Elva's daughter Velma Sutton Cline had any children from her marriage to Donald K. Cline, or perhaps from a previous marriage that I have not located. Velma has two marriage records to Cline: One as Velma Sutton and one as Velma Ellis. I have been unsuccessful, so far, in locating any living descendants of Elva Hart Sutton, if there are any. Elva would be my first cousin 1x removed, and her mother was my grandfather's sister. Thank you.

Thank you for JD. Have added initial bio but plan to expand once scanner connected and I can add photos. Also hope to locate Cynthia - who may still be living. Thanks again. With appreciation, AGP

Chris, Thanks for getting the shot. I was going to get it next time I was there. They did a great job. I am leaving the old photo there with a new caption and a follow up on his bio. I think people should know how much they mean "perpetual" care.
