Thomas Bailey, for many years a well known citizen of Sharon, died at the home of of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Smith, on Lucy Street, West Hill, Friday morning after a short illness, from a complication of diseases. He was 77 years of age and for over quarter of a century was boss of the old Curtis coal bank on the West Hill. He leaves a family of eight children, all residing in Sharon: Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Thos Jones, Mrs. Robert White, Mrs. Hugh Dougherty, John, Joseph, William and James. Funeral services which were conduced by Rev. Geo. B McKee of the First Baptist church, were held Sunday afternoon, and interment took place in Oakwood Cemetery. {herald}
