Helen Pearl (Kelly) Bachman was born on August 10, 1920 at Spirit Lake, Iowa to Bruce and Rosa (Lentz) Kelly. On September 24, 1945 she married Cletus “Speck” Bachman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburn and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage before his death in 2013.
Helen is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Paul) Hasenwinkel of Auburn, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and sister Isabel Johnson of Cedar Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cletus, son Joe Bachman, seven brothers and four sisters.
