Mrs. Patrick J. Fanning, 84, of Greenman St., died Thursday evening Aug. 16 in St. Elizabeth Home Janesville, after a long illness.

The former Lulu Mullen was born March 1, 1889 in Milton and has lived in the area all her life. She was married to Patrick J. Fanning on Nov. 16, 1909 in St. Mary Catholic Church. Last Nov. they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Service Star Legion and was a Gold Star Mother.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Paul and Bud, both of Janesville, and Charles of Delafield; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Hanauska and Mrs. Dan Drew both of Milton, and Mrs. Joe Drew of Janesville; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Mullen of Janesville and Francis Mullen of Middleton.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold, while serving in the army during World War II, and Joseph, and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 21 in the Nelson Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, and at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial in the St. Mary cemetery.
