Mrs. William Kennedy, 85, Milton Junction, died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Sholes.

Mary, the daughter of John and Katherine Pilkington Mullen, was born July 12, 1878 in the town of Harmony. She was united in marriage with William Kennedy Nov. 3, 1903 in Milton Junction. Mr. Kennedy died Jan. 5, 1951. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton, and the Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by one son, Eugene, Adams, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs. Sholes, Milton Junction; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harry Mullen, Janesville, Charles and Francis Mullen of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Fanning, Milton, and Mrs. Margaret Scullin, Madison. Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Nelson-Schneider Funeral Home in Janesville, and at 9:30 in St. Mary Church, Milton, with Father Michael J. Jacobs officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Milton Junction.
