George Francis Mullen was born in Milton Junction, June 12, 1880, son of John and Kathryn Pilkington Mullen. He lived in Milton Junction until 1916, when he moved to Harmony township where he farmed until 1939. In 1940 he moved to a farm near Camp Rotamer on Route 1. Mr. Mullen and Helen Dunphy of Croake Settlement were married in 1910 in St Rose Catholic Church, Broadhead. Mrs Mullen died May 26, 1926. Surviving are four sons, Donald, agriculture teacher at Jefferson; Robert, Route 2; Leo, at home; and John H. Mullen at the naval base, San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Risch, Route 2; three brothers, Charles and Francis, both of Madison, and Harry Mullen, Janesville; three sisters, Mrs James Scullen, Lake Mills, Mrs William Kennedy Sr., Milton Junction, and Mrs. Patrick Fanning, Milton; six grandchildren.
