Patrick J. Fanning, 95, formerly of 504 Greenman, died Thursday, Nov. 26, in the Janesville Health Care Center, where he had been a resident the past six years.

Born Feb. 28, 1886, in Johnstown, he married the former Lulu Mullen on Nov. 16, 1909, in Milton. She died Aug. 16, 1973.

He was a lifelong Milton area resident and a farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, serving as trustee for many years, the Holy Name Society and Catholic Order of Foresters.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Joe and Harold.

Survivors include three sons, Paul and Bud Fanning, both of Janesville, and Charles Fanning of Delafield; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Hanauska and Mrs. Kathleen Drew, both of Milton, and Mrs. Saramae Drew of Janesville; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton, with Fr. Dutchoff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
