---Mildred Thompson, age 86, of Macon, Missouri, passed away on Sunday (May 2, 1999), at Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon, Missouri.
---Born on December 3, 1912, in Macon, Missouri, she was the daughter of Zellar and Mae (Bruce) Cunningham. She married Delbert Jenkins and two children were born to that union.
---Survivors include two daughters, Geraldine Gibson and her husband, Ernest of Macon, Missouri, and Helena Mulvaney of Macon, Missouri; two brothers, Tom Cunningham and his wife, Dorothy of Kahoka, Missouri and Jack Cunningham and his wife, Alta of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Ida Mae Rolison of La Plata, Missouri, and Opal Tangy of Maple Grove, Minnesota; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
---She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, three brothers, three sisters, and four grandchildren.
---Mildred received her education in rural schools in Adair County, Missouri. Her entire life was spent in Macon and Adair Counties. She was a housewife who enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a member of the Christian Church in Atlanta, Missouri; and the American Legion Auxiliaries in Macon and Kirksville.
---Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (May 5, 1999), in the chapel of the Fohn Funeral Home, Kirksville, Missouri, with Reverend Jack Sumption officiating. Music will be provided by Janes Shaddy accompanied by Cheryle Newland. Selections will be "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Kirksville, Missouri.

Mildred married her first husband, Delbert Earnest Jenkins, on January 19, 1931 in Kirksville, Adair County, MO. and they had two daughters, Geraldine Fay and Helena Mae Jenkins.

Mildred married her 3rd husband, Durwood Monroe Burch, on February 3, 1963 in Atlanta, Macon County, MO.
