ZELLAR CUNNINGHAM
---Zellar David Cunningham, 75, died at his home west of La Plata Saturday at 6:15 a.m. after being in failing health for several months.
---Born September 1, 1889 in Macon County, he was the son of A.D. and Ida May (Vulgamore) Cunningham.
---He was united in marriage to Mae Bruce on February 23, 1910, who preceded him in death. On June 5, 1959, he was married to Ethel Roberts who survives.
---Also surviving are eight children by his first wife, Mrs. Durwood (Mildred) Burch of Atlanta, Mrs. Steve (Opal) Tangy of Quincy, Mrs. Sidney (Frances) Roberts of Quincy, Mrs. Clifford (Ida Mae) Rolison of Iowa City, Robert of Taylor, Missouri, Thomas and Jack of Quincy and Odell of Atlanta; three sisters, also survive, Mrs. John McKiernan of Fort Madison, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Gregg of Kirksville and Mrs. Rudy Kelly of Guyman, Oklahoma; and a brother, Jack of Mesa, Arizona. There are twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
---Preceding him in death were one son, two daughters and two brothers.
---Mr. Cunningham was a retired farmer and had lived around La Plata all of his life.
---Funeral services were held at 2:00 Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home in La Plata with Rev. Arthur Drake of Elmer officiating. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
