MARY FRANCES ROWSEY DIES OF INJURIES
---Mary Frances Rowsey, 45, of Quincy, Ill., was fatally injured and three others injured in a two-car accident Tuesday morning at 7:10 in Quincy.
---Mrs. Rowsey, riding in a station wagon driven by her husband, Donald Rowsey, 39, died of internal injuries at 7:20 Tuesday morning in the intensive care unit of St. Mary Hospital in Quincy.
---The daughter of Zellar David and Mae Bruce Cunningham, she was born in LaPlata on June 7, 1925. On Jan. 27, 1942, in Macon, she was married to Floyd Slaughter and to this marriage two sons were born. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1955, and on March 13, 1969 in Mt. Sterling, Ill., she was married to Donald R. Rowsey who survives.
---Also surviving are four sons, Chester David Slaughter who is stationed with the United States Air Force in Germany, Junior Floyd Slaughter of Quincy, and Robin Lee Roberts and Bobby D. Roberts, both of the home; two daughters, Darlene Marie Roberts and Melody Mae Roberts both of the home; one step-son, Donald Richard Rowsey II; four step-daughters, Christine Ann, Dorene Lynn Rowsey, Marlene Joe Rowsey and Tracy Marie Rowsey, all of the home; three brothers, Ira Robert Cunningham and Thomas Sylvester Cunningham, both of Quincy, and Jack Raymond Cunningham of Liberty; three sisters, Mrs. Durwood (Anna Mildred) Burch of Atlanta, Mrs. Steve (Opal) Tangy of Quincy and Mrs. Clifford (Ida Mae) Rolison of Chariton, Ia., one granddaughter, Deana Sue Slaughter of Quincy and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Delbert Madison of 614 S. Osteopathy.
---She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, including Otha Cunningham who was killed in an accident Oct. 4; two sisters and an infant son.
---Mrs. Rowsey was reared in the LaPlata vicinity and following her marriage to Mr. Slaughter, resided on a farm at Yarrow until his death. Soon after that she moved to Quincy where she had resided since.
---She was a member of the Union Methodist Church and at the time of her death was employed with Turner's Catering Service at Quincy.
---Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the Duker Funeral Home in Quincy. The Rev. Staley Jensen will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Greenmount cemetery.
