Geraldine was born on February 22, 1932, in Macon County, MO, the daughter of Delbert and Mildred (Cunningham) Jenkins. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Macon. Geraldine was married to Junior Walker and was later married to Darrell Cockrum. She married Ernest Gibson on June 7, 1964 in Elmer, MO. Geraldine enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and especially her family.
Geraldine is survived by one daughter, Carol Sneed of Macon, one sister, Helena Mulvaney of Macon, four step-daughters, Carolyn Barron of Macon, Connie Pagliai and her husband Junior of Excello, MO, Jean-Marie Nail and her husband Larry of Cairo, MO, and Melissa Stanfield and her husband Terry of Bevier, MO, one daughter-in-law, Connie Cockrum of Huntsville and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Darrell Cockrum and Ernest Gibson, two sons, Harold Walker and Virgil Cockrum, one daughter, Anna Mae Isaacson, two step-daughters, Janice Nail and Cynthia White, one step-granddaughter, Amanda Jean McDuffee, and two sons-in-law, Norman Barron and Bill White.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2011, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon with Bro. Tim Worstell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial gardens north of Macon. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Sunday. The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund.
