Bio

As I write this edit, it is Christmas season 2022! Wow what a beautiful time of year!
As a member of UDC, I am privileged to be working on 137 wreaths with red bows for Confederate soldiers, located in Oak Cemetery, Ft Smith, AR. This event we are calling it "Wreaths Across Dixie" and I feel honored to be a part of this.

I mailed out 55 Veteran's Day cards right before Nov 11th, to honor our Nation's greatest!

I have been doing Genealogy for over 11 years now with great passion. My sister, Sherrell Sue Stallings Buchanan, was my inspiration. She has been doing it since 1964.

I believe all grave sites deserve pictures and accurate information about those that rest in peace and I appreciate Findagrave for giving us an avenue to do so. I will be glad to answer any questions of anybody and I am willing to share at all times. I do not mind if you use my photos, after all, we do this to inform relatives of their ancestors.

I am a Trustee for Mount Harmony Cemetery, Sebastian County AR near Greenwood. This cemetery celebrates "decoration" every year. 2022 marks our 138th year. Decoration is always the 2nd Saturday of May (usually the day before Mother's Day) but not this year. Decoration is May 14th.
Mount Harmony Cemetery was recently spotlighted in the event Buried Treasures on Oct 2nd. Check out our Facebook page!

I am a UDC member, Varina Jefferson Davis Chapter #252, where I learn much history and respect for all that died on both sides, Union and Confederate.

I live in Branson Missouri and just retired after selling my Resort we had for 22 years. We love Branson, the community, the people, the medical access to great health care.

My research of family names are: Paternal side-(AR, AL, TN, GA, MS, TX, NC) Stallings, McKinney, Crow, Carter, Parker, Traylor, Banks, Walker, Fields, Staples, Upshaw, Bowman, Bradley, Stone, Ford, Beam, Elmore;
Maternal side- (AR, OK, TN, IN, IL, KS, NC, VA) Randolph, Cooper, Wilson, Duggar/Dugger, Walls, Lippincott, Bumbalough, Lawson, & Rodgers.

My husband's Paternal side is Thompson, Springs, both of NC, then (Wilson Co, TN & Saline/Williamson Co, IL) Burnett, Eckols, Felts, Stilley, Swan, Horn, Smiley, Caplinger, Johnston, Farrow & Motsinger (all ILL) then his Maternal side is Peterson and Liljendahl in Ishpeming, MI and Burnett County, WI; and Johnson and Larson in Ramsey County, MN.

God Bless America and our pioneer families who gave us that Freedom.
