In creating burial records I hope to honor the memory of each individual and their beliefs and customs.
Genealogy research is somewhat like bringing a camera into focus to take your family portrait. I STRONGLY recommend that if you are doing your family research to double check information you might find on the records I have made. I continue to find a number of errors in the edits I receive and also on the public family trees at, as well as my own transcription errors. If a public family tree does not have supporting facts and documentation then edits suggested from them are usually not accepted.
UPDATE: Now that I have created over 8000 memorials it has become increasingly harder to fulfill the "Suggested Other Corrections" to add newspaper obits to the bio section of memorials. If you send obits to corroborate your edits that's extremely helpful. But to clarify, I don't have time to cut and paste obits to the memorials. Thank you for your understanding and may your searching continue to be deeply rewarding and bring you a renewed sense of your family history and of yourself!
All My Best,
Susan Bishop
