I have been designated as manager for many memorials that have been transcribed from cemetery records. Most of the memorials are not my family members/ancestors. I am more then willing to transfer memorials to anyone who is related regardless of how closely if I am not related. Please request a transfer and make sure you include all information I need to make the transfer.
I got started in genealogy years ago while propping my leg and icing my ankle after an injury following Santa down the stairs one Christmas Eve.
I was bored and even though I did not want the computer that came into my house I started playing around with it. I am self taught on the computer but do the best I can.
I want to leave information about family for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
I have reconnected with relatives and found some I didn't even know I had, from coast to coast and even in Finland.
Some surnames I am working on: Bell, Bushing, Cross, Fellers, Finch, Ganss, Hickle, Keränen, Kriete, Leonard, McNeil, Metcalf, Plain, Thompson, Tulppo & Wells.
This site has been of immense help to me and whenever possible I hope to contribute information I find to it so that maybe others can locate some family information.
I started on a project for Stateline Cemetery, Toledo OH. It is a small cemetery with some very old grave markers. I've made several trips there photographing the stones & putting them on this site. Next I hope to obtain written records to update what I have already entered. I am hoping this project might help someone down the line. I've had to suspend my work on Stateline Cemetery and hope to return to it to re-walk it to make sure I've found as many markers as visible.
If I have taken a marker photo feel free to use it as you wish as long as it is not for profit. Look for sec412 to identify photos I've taken.
I wish to thank everyone for leaving messages on my son's FAG memorial (Kevin J. Hickle - FAG# 158026375 who passed away 2/10/2016.) Even thou I have not met you, your thoughts are comforting.
