The Dead They Sleep a Long, Long Sleep
The Dead They Rest, and Their Rest is Deep
The Dead Have Peace, but The Living Weep.
Samuel Hoffenstein

I am updating the Family history and I absolutely love this site. It is a wonderful way to remember Family and Friends who have left us. The main Family Names that I Research are Dunlap, Sweeten, Barr and Eakin. I am a Dunlap by birth. I appreciate all feedback or corrections to the Memorials that I maintain, and I would add that as far as Transfers go, I don't follow the Four-Generation rule. If I have added a Memorial for one of your relatives or friends and they are not a member of my family, please let me know and I will transfer the Memorial to you. As far as duplicates go, if I have made a duplicate please let me know. Not always, but a great deal of the time the Memorial I have created will have a great deal more information. Please let me know so that I can have the Memorials merged leaving management to you. Someone asked me recently if I was documenting my Family only. The answer is No, although I am trying to link everyone in my Family and keep an accurate record. Many other Contributors in my opinion are playing a numbers game and I think that they have lost sight of the original purpose of this site which is:

To Remember the Lives of Family and Friends.
To Create a Record of their Location.
To Use as a Genealogical Resource.

NOTE: I do not list living Children or Relatives on Memorials unless it is part of a Genuine, Published Obituary.

NOTE: Please use ANY photos of mine that you wish. In addition, while I generally like Death Certificates on Memorials, I do draw the line at any Death Certificate that is 20 years old or newer.

NOTE: I have also noticed that photos are showing up on my Memorials without my getting a notice. If I did not thank people for their efforts in taking photos, please accept my thanks now.

THANKS: Heartfelt Thanks: To my Cousin Donald Mitchell for his generous sharing of family photographs. What a wonderful gift.

Special Note: It is my intention to turn these Memorials over to my dearest friend should I be unable in the future to care for them.

I WILL Report RUDENESS. After All:
No One is More Insufferable
Than He or She Who Lacks Basic Courtesy.
