*I am Unable to Send Messages for Some Reason. If You did not Receive a Message, My Apologies.
I am updating the Family history and I love this site. It is a wonderful way to remember Family and Friends who have left us. The main Family Names that I Research are Dunlap, Roland, Sweeten, Williams, Barr, Marsh and Eakin. I am a Dunlap by birth. I appreciate all feedback or corrections to the Memorials that I maintain ( I will research them of course), and I would add that as far as Transfers go, I don't generally follow the Four-Generation rule. If I have added a Memorial for one of your relatives or friends and they are not a member of my family, please let me know and I will transfer the Memorial to you. I believe that it is all about being generous and helping each other. As far as Duplicates go, if I have made a Duplicate please let me know. Not always, but a great deal of the time the Memorial I have created will have a great deal more information. Please let me know so that I can have the Memorials merged leaving management to you. Someone asked me recently if I was documenting my Family only. The answer is No, although I am trying to link everyone in our Family and keep an accurate record. I tend to run into trouble with others who have a need to hang on to every Memorial they can, whether related or not. In addition, many other Contributors in my opinion are playing a Numbers Game and I think that they have lost sight of the original purpose of this site which is:
*To Remember the Lives of Family and Friends.
*To Create a Record of their Location.
*To Use as a Genealogical Resource.
NOTE: I do not list living Children or Relatives on Memorials unless it is part of a Genuine, Published Obituary.
NOTE: Concerning Death Certificates. While I generally like Death Certificates on Memorials, I do draw the line at any Death Certificate that is 20 years old or newer.
THANKS: Heartfelt Thanks to my Cousin Donald Mitchell for his generous sharing of family photographs. What a wonderful gift.
Special Note: It is my intention to turn these Memorials over to an Appropriate Steward should I be unable in the future to care for them.
I Will Report Rudeness and Unethical Practices!
After All,
No One is More Insufferable
Than He or She Who Lacks Basic Courtesy.
