Emily J. Wells, born Aug. 14, 1840, daughter of Lucius and Eunice (McMurphy) Wells, of Hampton, IL married Amos Sailor, son of Daniel and Maria (Alpaugh) Sailor, born in Minden, Montgomery Co, NY, Aug. 13, 1835. Amos died at a young age on Mar. 31, 1877.

The children of Amos and Emily were: Lucius W. who married Lizzie Cross and had one son, Lucius; Maurice Amos who married Carlotta Williams and moved to Chicago.

Mrs. Emily J. (Wells) Sailor was married a second time on Jan. 23, 1883 to D.C. McGregor, son of William McGregor. Their home was in Minneapolis, MN.
