Mrs. Katherine Allmond Williamson, age 76, Vidalia, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in Meadows Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
The Montgomery County native had resided all her life in the area. She was the retired owner/operator of Williamson Mobile Home Court, a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 54 years, and the Busy Bee Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by one son, Ray Mathew Williamson, and one grandson, Micah Matthew Williamson.
Survivors include her husband, Ben D. Williamson, Vidalia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Joyce Williamson, Buford, Roy and Brenda Lott Williamson, Douglas, and Donald and Shawna Williamson, Vidalia; one sister, Helen A. Braddy, Douglas; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 29, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Reverend Murray Ward officiating. Interment followed in Williamson Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Hilton, Earl Williamson, Glen Williamson, Jerry Williamson, J.W. Williamson, W.H. Williamson, Buddy Arnold and Jimmy Arnold. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Busy Bee Sunday School Class and Dr. David Paine.
