"Grandma Goldie" as she was referred to by so many people, was an influential woman who impacted every life she touched. She was known for many a crazy life stories, soft sentiment, and even the occasional, and sometimes well needed, scolding. She was a matriarch that united a deep-rooted Norwegian family and deep-rooted Ojibwa family as one. She will always be known for her "World - Famous Potato Klub," and the accompanying story of hardship it brought during meal time. Her legacy will live on not only in our hearts, but also the engrained spirit she has endeared upon many of our memories and life moments. If she wasn't found chasing her cows or cats, she was molding her offspring and their offspring into becoming the accomplished individuals who had the pleasure of calling her "Grandma Goldie". She was a humble woman from a simple upbringing that today is responsible for so many distinctive accomplishments in others. . Goldie was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, daughter Louella, son Ernest. Goldie is survived by her sons Archie, Clifford, Donald, and daughters Lorraine, and Marlyes, 18 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. She will never be forgotten so long as her indelible legacy lives on in us all. We love you "Grandma Goldie"; rest yourself and be at Peace.
