Bernetta Kortan, Bagley, died Friday, October 28 at the Greensview Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bagley, with the Rev. Mike Patnode officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kortan was born January 29, 1914 at Bagley, the daughter of Emma and Mark Thayer. Her marriage to Joseph Kortan took place May 19, 1931, at Bagley. She was a lifelong resident of Bagley and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Vernon, Harry and Walter, all of Bagley; seven grandchildren and a great grandson; three sisters, Goldie Johnson, Bagley, Rachael Herman, Jordan, Minnesota, and Alice Michaelson, Bemidji; and a brother, Julius Thayer, St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
