Delmar L. Brawner, 76, died October 16, 2012 at Good Samaritan Village, Hutchinson. He was born September 9, 1936 in Reed Springs, MO, the son of Arlie and Mildred Whitaker Brawner. A resident of Hutchinson most of his life, he owned Brawner Auto Salvage for 35 years. He was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Hutchinson. On June 15, 1955, he married Hazel Smith in Newkirk, OK. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Ricky, Hutchinson, 2 daughters, Tammy Gilley and Norma Brawner, both of Hutchinson, 3 brothers, Jim, South Hutchinson, and Ronnie and Jerry, both of Hutchinson, a sister, Clarissa Hoss, McPherson, 7 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bill and Larry, and 2 sisters, Norma Ardolina and Doris Brawner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jerry Stokely and Pastor Cora Stokely officiating. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 5-9PM Wed and 9AM to 9PM Thursday, with the family present from 6-8PM Thursday evening, all at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Full Gospel Fellowship Church or Hospice of Reno County, in care of the funeral home.
