Clarissa Mae Hoss, 61, went to be with her Lord and Savior, August 11, 2015 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. A native of Hutchinson, she was born November 16, 1953 the daughter of Arlie and Mildred Brawner.
A member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church, she also enjoyed crochet and knitting, writing short stories, reading, and caring for her family.
In October 1990 she married Jerry Hoss in Reed Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2014.
Other survivors include 3 sons, John (Mary) Brawner, Toby (Melissa) Reed, Stephen (Evelyn) Brawner; 1 daughter, Carrie (Vincent) Allen; 3 brothers, Ronnie, Jerry, and, Jim Brawner; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson, Brandon, 1 great grandchild, Tytus, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund to Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church and gifts may be left with the funeral home.
Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of service arrangements.
