Funeral services for Sherry Ann Rodriguez will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Chad Longino officiating. Committal services will follow in the Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Sherry, 67, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 8, 2012 in the Oakdale Community Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1945 in St. Joseph to the union of Sherbert Percy "Moocher" Jordan and Norma Ruth (Bourgeois) Jordan.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by husband, Fred Rodriguez; her parents; two brothers, Percy Jordan, and John (Booby) Jordan; three sisters, Jenelle Lemke, Dot Jordan, and Eva Jordan.
She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, two sons, Frederick (Marsha) Rodriguez and Steven (Roxanne) Rodriguez both of Oakdale; two daughters, Paula (Steve) Fontenot of Oakdale and Lana (Lonnie) Harper of Sugartown; two brothers, Danny Jordan and Ricky (Kathy) Jordan both of Oakdale; one sister, Fay (Ernest) Richmond of Oakdale; loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; special nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Derrick Rodriguez, Clint Strother, III, Carlton Johnson, Lonnie Harper, Steve Fontenot, and Chris Johnson. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Luke Fontenot and Logan Rodriguez.
