An employee of L.E. Tucker & Sons, Jackson, Miss., he died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1996, in Los Angeles. Visiting at White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale, 8 p.m. Thursday until time of services Saturday. Religious services at St. Matthew Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Crumbley. Burial in Cryer Cemetery.

Survived by two sons, John W. Jordan, Baton Rouge, and Jeffery Mark Jordan, Vidalia; a stepson, Audy Bumpers, Monroe; a daughter, Chenoa Yvette Jordan, Brookhaven, Miss.; a stepdaughter, Theresa Yancy, Glenmora; three brothers, Percy Jordan, St. Joseph, Ricky Jordan and Danny Jordan, both of Oakdale; five sisters, Janelle Lemke, Sherry Buxton, Dot Jordan, Janice Richmond and Eva Jordan, all of Oakdale; and a grandchild.
