Mrs. Luella Jane Pinkerton, 93, died in her home in Pleasant Hill, Thursday morning, Jan. 15, 1964 at 1:40. She had been confined to her home for several years.
Mrs. Pinkerton was born at Pleasant Hill, June 16, 1870, a daughter of Henry and Sarah Windmiller Guthrie. She was married to George Galloway in 1893 at Pleasant Hill. He died in 1936. She was married to Van Pinkerton in Bowling Green, MO, in 1944, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Baptist church in Pleasant Hill and attended and participated in all church activities until her age and health caused her to retire from various activities.
Surviving are a brother, Frank Guthrie of Pleasant Hill, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Capps of Pittsfield, and Miss Minnie Guthrie and Mrs. Grace Kennedy of Pleasant Hill. She was preceded in death by a foster son, Dan Galloway, one brother, and four sisters.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Pleasant Hill, Saturday afternoon at 2 with the Rev. Elmer Carter officiating. Burial was in Crescent Heights Cemetery.
