Adam Friedrick Kahle was born on December 29, 1871 in Eagle Lake, Illinois to his parents, Herman Kahle and his wife, Annie, nee Wilke. He was also baptized there on January 21, 1872 by Pastor I. Fr. Nuaffer. He was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church at Kramer, Nebraska on April 18, 1886 by Pastor L.J. Huber.

On May 25, 1898 he was married to Catherine Sehnert at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Dorchester, Nebraska by Pastor J.M. Maish. Two daughters were born to this marriage: Margaret Marie and Albertina Anna.

In the year 1905 the family moved to Wilcox, Nebraska where they lived until the year 1917 when they moved to Deshler. Mr. Kahle has been a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Deshler since that time.

After prolonged illness, the soul of Mr. Kahle was called home to its heavenly rest on Sunday evening, May 11, 1952.

Left to mourn are: his wife, Catherine; two daughters, Margaret Marie, now Mrs. Edward C. Beckler of Sioux City, Iowa and Albertina Anna, now Mrs. Paul A. Ude of Deshler, Nebraska; one brother, William of Crete; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon, May 14, 1952 from St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Deshler. The congregation sang, "My Soul's Best Friend," "What Joy and Blessing." Pastor H.F. Krohn of Doniphan, former pastor of St. Peter's Church, preached the funeral address based on Job 19, 25: "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth." Arthur Koerwitz sang a vocal solo: "Why Do We Mourn Departing Friends?" Pastor R.L. Hafner of St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiated as liturgist and at the interment on St. Peter's Church Cemetery following the church service.
