DAVID I. HELSEL
Of 207 N. Market St., Martinsburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, died at 5:25 p.m. yesterday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. He was born at New Enterprise RD May 26, 1894, a son of John and Jane (Reffner) Helsel, and married Maude Shoenfelt Aug. 25, 1923, in Cumberland, Md., by the Rev. J.C. Price. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Jane Elliott of Roaring Spring; a grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Loretta Baumgardner of Altoona. Mr. Helsel was of the Methodist faith and was a Pennsylvania Railroad employe, retiring in 1951 from the Juniata blacksmith shop. Friends will be received in the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.

HELSEL -- Funeral services for David I. Helsel of 207 N. Market St., Martinsburg, will be conducted at the John L. Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Leland Keemer officiating. Interment in Holsinger Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
