Delphina "Dee" (Correia) Granfield, wife of the late William B. Granfield, died at Taunton Nursing Home on July 30, 2012. She was 90. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Alexandrina (Bartel) Correia. Raised and educated in Taunton, she was a 1940 graduate of Taunton High School. A retired office manager, Mrs. Grandfield was employed by the City of Taunton Building Department for over 30 years. A communicant of St. Mary's Church, she enjoyed traveling and reading. Survivors include a brother, Bento Correia of Centerville; a sister, Eleanor Abreau of Taunton; and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joaquin and Joseph Correia, Eva Barker, Alice Carvalho, Ida Correia and Mary Linhares. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday August 3rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
