Alexandria (Berthao) Correia, 94 of 20 Horton Street died Tuesday at her home following a long illness. She was the widow of Joaquim Correia. Born in Terceira, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delphina (Fraga) Berthao. She lived in Taunton for 80 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, and a member of the church's Holy Rosary Sodality. She leaves three sons, Joaquim "Jack" Correia of New Bedford, Joseph Correia of Taunton and Bento Correia of Centerville; six daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Mary) Linhares, Mrs. Frederick (Eva) Barker, Mrs. Marianno (Alice) Carvalho, Ida Correia, Mrs. William (Delphina) Granfield, and Mrs. Antone (Eleanor) Abreau all of Taunton. Also a brother Joseph Bartel of Taunton; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Bella) Vaz of Taunton and Mrs. Gerioma) Vaz of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
