Eleanor (Correia) Abreau, age 91 of Taunton, passed away on April 28, 2022 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater.
She was the beloved wife of the late Antone Abreau.
Eleanor was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joaquin and Alexandrina (Bartel) Correia.
She was a 1949 graduate of Taunton High School.
Before retirement, she was employed with New Jersey Rubber, Abreau Brother's Trucking and as a Teacher Assistant for 8 years.
Eleanor was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and taught CCD at St. Anthony's Church. She loved vacationing with family and friends, treasured every moment with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and enjoyed her day trips with her nieces Jean and Eleanor along with nephew Stephen.
Mrs. Abreau is survived by her children; Anthony Abreau and wife Sheila, Joseph Abreau and wife Kristin, Jean Costa and husband Scott, Paula Sylvia and husband Michael, Grandchildren; Anthony Abreau, Jr., Tyler Abreau, Paige Gulan, Jessica Rezendes, Nicholas Rezendes, Joseph Dillon Abreau, Cara Mattos, Katie Sylvia, Amanda Mason, Lauren Costa, great grandchildren; Stella, Nolan, Waylon, Cecilia, Millie, Holly, Eleanor, Christian, Victoria, sister-in-law Mary Abreau. She was the sister of the late Joaquin Correia, Joseph Correia, Bento Correia, Mary Linhares, Eva Barker, Alice Carvalho, Ida Correira, Delphina Granfield and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church in Taunton. (Relatives and friends may meet directly at church for 9:45 am).
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
