GALESBURG - Delores F. Goddard, 89, formerly of 1291 Monroe St., died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.

Born Nov. 19, 1914, in Galesburg to Ralph C. and Mabel C. Cool Dixon, she married Edward J. Goddard on Sept. 25, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa. He died June 18, 2004.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Surviving is one daughter Karen (and John) Stevens of Altona; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Merle Edoff of Peoria, Betty (and Lowell) Yates of Galesburg, Dorothy Clatt of East Peoria and Rose (and Bud) Kremer of Lyle.

She was a member of Central Congregational Church in Galesburg.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Anderson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.

Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or to Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285.
