Dr. W. E. Crane, 77, funeral will be held Tuesday with burial in
Prospect Hill cemetery. He died 8:50 p.m. Friday in Norfolk.
He was born March 15, 1880 at Bouton, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Crane. He started his dentistry practice in 1909 at
Tilden and moved his practice to Norfolk in 1915. He was
married on June 23, 1909 to Miss Ella Quackenbush.
She died a number of years ago. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters
and they are all living. He was married on Jan. 22, 1942 to
Mrs. Vivian Wright. He was survived by his wife, 2 daughters:
Mrs. Elmer*** Harmer at Norfolk, Mrs. Charlotte Peeples at
Palisade, Colorado; 3 sons: Rev. Bradford Crane at Norfolk,
William Crane and Richard Crane both at Los Angeles, California;
22 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; 1 step son Jim Wright at
Galveston, Texas; 1 step daughter Mrs. Claudine Carrick at Eureka,
California; 1 brother and I sister: Harry, Mrs. Marlie Snell both at
Los Angeles, California.
