Miss McCachren, a Charlotte native, retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co. after 50 years and was a board member of its Telco Credit Union. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of Phillip Fidelis Sunday school
class and Women of the Church.
Survivors are her brothers, James McCachren of Gainesville, Fla., David McCachren of Knoxville, Tenn., William McCachren of Raleigh, Jonathan McCachren, George McCachren; sister, Mrs. Betty Huey of Rock Hill; nephews and nieces.
