Nora grew up in the Marion County area of Kentucky and also lived in Morganfield, Union County. She married about 1885 and moved to Duval, Florida. In June of 1900, she and her husband John, along with their three sons were back living in Uniontown, KY. They moved their family again, residing in St. Louis, Missouri. John died in 1928 and Nora continued to live in St. Louis until 1935. She moved and spent her remaining years in Granite City, Illinois.
