Mary was one of 12 children born to Pius McCauley & Eleanor "Nell" Bowling. She married George W. Brady on 3 Oct. 1859 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Raywick. George & Mary lived near Loretto. Around 1890, they moved to Morganfield, KY. They also resided in Louisville for awhile. Mary and 2 of her daughters worked as seamstresses in 1900 while George returned to Morganfield to be nearer to their sons. Mary passed away from heart disease in the home of her daughter & son-in-law on South 27th St.
