Claude "B" Annis, Sr., 69, Seneca, MO, was called home to be with his heavenly Father, Dec. 24, 2000, after a long illness.

Mr. Annis was born Feb. 3, 1931 to Charles Thomas Annis and Essie "B" Tensley Annis, both preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1952 - 1954 and was a reserve for Marines until 1960. He worked at Missouri Steel, St. John's and was an ambulance attendant He was former Newton County Sheriff's Deputy and member of Baptist faith. He was the Chief of Police in Seneca and he retired from Murray Guard.

He was a long time resident of Seneca, where he met his wife, Dorene Lee Collins Annis and they married May 3, 1954. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Sherry Kent, Alba, Charlena Michelle Mitchell, Granby, MO, Rebecca Kathleen Crawford, Kansas; two sons, Claude "b" Annis Jr. Kansas and William Howell Annis, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren, Joshua Doll, Butler, Kayla & Jacob Kent, Alba, MO, Bradley Annis of Kansas, George Corral and Veronica Gonzales, ARizona, Joshua Gonzales, Kansas City, MO, Robert Corral, Kansas an dLisa Gonzales, Tulsa, Kim Sanchez, Jeff Mitchell, Brandon Annis, Misty, Leah, Danielle, Matthew, Samantha and Timothy Crawford, Kansas; and 6 great-grandchildren, Jessie, Jasmine, Reality Gonzales, Tulsa, Zachery Mitchell, Madelin Sanchez and Kaleba Mitchell, all of Carthage; a half-brother, Robert Camfield, Kimberling City
He was preceded in death by a son, James Micheal Annis, a brother, Jack Annis and three sisters, Mabel Aaron, Georgia Murray and Gertrude Holt and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Seneca, Rev. Greg Snow and Rev. Aaron Weibel will officiate. Burial will be at the Seneca Cemtery, with military graveside honors by American Legion Post 163 Neosho, MO.

Pallbearers are sons-in-law Gary MItchell and Ronald Crawford, a grandson, Jeffery MItchell and Pat Stewart, Joe Kelly, Tom Kuhn Cecil Vance, Don Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are grandson, Joshua Doll and Brandon and Doyle Shields.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted. Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home as charge of arrangements.
