Mary Wolford, age 97 years, of Foley Drive, Russell Springs, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born on December 6, 1911 in Adair County, KY to the late Joshua Beard and Melvina Neal Beard. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Wolford and by five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two daughters: Billie Sue Brown of Russell Springs, KY and Lou Ann Overton of White, GA; six grandchildren: Sherry (Darrell) Selby, Mark Allen Brown, Jacqueline Suzette (Eric) Hadley, Kandi (Scott) Campbell, Cassandra Richardson, and Jason Overton; eight great-grandchildren: Alex Selby, Austin Hadley, Grant Hadley, Jack Hadley, Shane Richardson, Shelbie Richardson, Shaw Richardson, and Shepherd Richardson; and one sister, Margaret Neat of Dunnville.
She was a retired school teacher.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll Egnew officiating, and special music by Debbie Conner.
Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Scott Campbell, Darrell Selby, Eric Hadley, Jason Overton, Alex Selby, Austin Hadley, and Dale Wilson.
