Services for Robert Wayne Beard, 67, of Dunnville, Rt. 1, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Revs. Orby Beard and Harold Crow. Burial will be at Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia. Beard died Thursday [September 3, 1981] at his residence. He was retried from General Electric in Louisville and was a farmer. He was a veteran of WW II. Born on July 21, 1914, he was the son of the late Josh & Vina Neal Beard. Survivors include his wife, Louise Ellis Beard; a stepson, Bill Ellis of Dunnville; a stepdaughter, Betty Giles of Columbia; 4 brothers, Harold of Pellyton, Home of Louisville, Claude of Eunice and James Beard of Campbellsville; and 5 sisters, Laura James of Knifley, Irene Thomas and Margeretta Neat, both of Dunnville and Mary Wolford of Russell Springs. Visitation is at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
