Memorial services were held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Harold Blair, age 72, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away August 17, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Interment was held at Cliburn Cemetery in Silver Creek. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Elder Kenneth Ward officiated. Pall bearers were David Blair, Jim Barnett, Glenn Cliburn, Roger Cliburn and Bobby Cliburn.

Alvin Harold Blair was born in Lawrence County on November 16, 1939. He was the son of George A. Blair and Rosa Barber Blair. He served in the US Army for 23 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked with the US Post Office for 14 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Prentiss, MS.

Mr. Blair is survived by his wife, Earnestine Blair of Silver Creek; his sons, John Blair of Atlanta, GA and Chris Blair of Richland, MS; his daughters, Mary Barnett of Pearl, MS and Bonnie Blair Toles of Silver Creek, MS; his four grandchildren; his brother, George Blair of Silver Creek; and his sister, Bobbie Nell Berry of Franklinton, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
