George was born September 25, 1927. He was the son of George A. Blair and Rosa Barber. He went to Mississippi College then entered the Army. He retired from the Army as a WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam veteran after 42 years of service. He was a Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a Mason and in the Exchange Club. He was an avid runner and ran in the Run for Roses race as late as a year ago.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Blair of Silver Creek, MS; His daughter, Susan Myers of Loganville, GA; Two sons, George R. Blair of Denham Springs, LA and David A. Blair of Silver Creek, MS. Five Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His sister, Bobbie Nell Berry of Franklinton, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
