Funeral Services were held Saturday December 12, 2015 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. George Blair, age 88, who passed away on December 9, 2015 at The Veterans Home in Collins, MS. Interment followed in New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Mike Sutton and Rev. Trey Spangler officiated. Pallbearers were: George Matthew Blair, Josh Blair, Daniel Blair, Ryan Myers, Chris Blair and Will Brister.

George was born September 25, 1927. He was the son of George A. Blair and Rosa Barber. He went to Mississippi College then entered the Army. He retired from the Army as a WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam veteran after 42 years of service. He was a Deacon of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a Mason and in the Exchange Club. He was an avid runner and ran in the Run for Roses race as late as a year ago.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Blair of Silver Creek, MS; His daughter, Susan Myers of Loganville, GA; Two sons, George R. Blair of Denham Springs, LA and David A. Blair of Silver Creek, MS. Five Grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His sister, Bobbie Nell Berry of Franklinton, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
