Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Parker, age 65 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012. She was a woman of faith and loved her Lord. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Born Saturday, November 02, 1946 in Ruston, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her Father, Aaron Clifton Busby; Mother, Blondell Jeanette Busby; Husband, Billy Joe Parker Sr.; Son, Billy Joe "Joey" Parker, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her Son, Tony Parker of Sikes, LA; Daughter, Melody Parker of Sikes, LA; Brother, A. C. Busby of Sikes, LA; Sister, Jo Ellen Busby Dunn of Winnfield, LA; and 3 Grandchildren, Taylor and Erica Burnett and Jimmie Parker.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2012, at The Family Church, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Tuesday, from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at The Family Church with Revs. Joel Hines and H. W. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, in Joyce.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Samuel Busby, John Cox, Joseph Cox, Jared Cox, Jeremy Parker, Ricky Burnett, Leo Brumfield (Hon.), Kevin Howell (Hon.).
