Funeral services for Billy Joe Parker Jr. were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2001 in the First United Pentecostal Church, Winnfield with Revs. H.W. Smith and Keith Smith officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Joyce, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Mr. Parker, age 37 of Sikes, LA died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 in his residence. He was born in Winnfield, March 10, 1964, was a member of the Winnfield First United Pentecostal Church and worked in lumber manufacturing.

Survivors are his mother, Ann Parker of Sikes, LA: one brother, Tony Landes Parker of Sikes, LA; one sister, Melody Ann Barnett and her husband Randy of Dodson, LA; Paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ella Parker of Sikes, LA; maternal grandmother, Blondell Busby of Sikes, LA; nieces, Erica and Taylor and one nephew, Jimmie. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Parker. Sr.

Pallbearers were: Jared Cox, Joseph Cox, Samuel Busby, Dennis Parker, Robbie Dehn.
