William Harvey Bolander, whose home was at 3033 Washington, died at 6:45 a,m, today in the Labette County Medical Center, where he had been a patient since June 24. He was 78 years old.
he had been ill since January and critical for five months.
A salesman for the Gas Service Co. here for 35 years, he was born April 8, 1892 at Dennis, and was first married at Columbus on June 29, 1910 to Cora Fricke of St. Paul. She died in December 1918.
On august 10, 1919, he was married to Lena A. Fricke of Parsons. She survives.
Bolander attended rural schools in the South Mound area and came to Parsons in 1914. He was a member of the Washington Avenue United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include three sons, Wilbur L., Paul A. Bolander, both of Parsons, and Alfred M. of Wichita.; three daughters, Mrs Wilma Chase (Chace) of Winfield; Mrs Mildred White and Mrs. Alfreda Brown, both of parsons;
Two brothers, Jesse, of R. 2, Parsons and Fred Bolander of LaHabra, Calif.; on sister, Mrs. Muriel Springgs (Spriggs) of R. 3, Parsons; 20 Grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
One son, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at th2 p.m. at the Burris-Wall Funeral Home., with Rev. Vernon W. Becker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood.
