Ella Gould was the eleventh of twelve children born to James Gould and Lydia Goodwin, both natives of New York. Ella, born in Will County, Illinois, married Phillip C. Morgan 26 November 1874 in Will County. Phillip, son of Benjamin Franklin Morgan and Elizabeth J. Sternberg, lived just a short distance away in Will County. Ella and Phillip were the parents of Eva Mae, Bert Franklin, and Pearl Janice Morgan. After Phillip's untimely death at the age of 42 in 1889, Ella raised the children and took in boarders to support her family. Ella passed away 3 Sep 1901 from breast cancer. (Bio. by Joanne Swart)
