Obituary: The funeral of Mrs. Jane O. Lovell was held at her late home this city, Sunday, May 25th, the Reverend Mac Dowell of Chicago officiating. Burial was in Oakwood.
The deceased was a daughter of James and Lydia Gould and was born on March 11th, 1837 in Watertown, New York, was married to Oliver Lovell in 1856 at Joliet, IL, from which union eight children were born, five surviving her: John of Colorado, Harvey of Washington, George and Ralph of Florence and Mrs. Lydia Van Tassel of Craig, Colorado. Also 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She also is survived by the following three sisters: Mrs. B. E. Morgan, West Webster, NY, Mrs. Sarah Bruechet, Roselawn, IN, and Mrs. Marion Lewis, Kansas City, Kansas.
Mrs. Lovell died at her home on South Water Street May 22nd at the ripe age of 82 years.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. H. Eldridge, River Forest, IL; Mrs. John Lovell, Mr. & Mrs. George Korre, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Cunningham, Mr. & Mrs. George Lovell and Mrs. Arthur Fitchelm of Ottawa, and Mrs. W. H. Roberts, Miss Margery Thompson, Mrs. B. H. Leach and Mr. & Mrs. H. Burns of Joliet.
