Ina Faye Johnson rang her final bell of fighting cancer. She passed away on August 12, 2012.
Her battle was long and hard, but she always had a smile on her face. "This too shall pass" is the saying that rang true to her as she faced several life challenges in the last 11 years.
The reunion was sweet as she was met with love and open arms of her husband Dennis, and son Travis, along with many others by their side.
Ina Faye had many talents that she shared in a quiet way, but one that she will be known by is her love for teaching. She taught for 35 years in the Jordan School District and taught to the end in many other aspects of life. Mom, thank you! Ina Faye will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Ina Faye is preceded in death by her true love, Dennis, and her son Travis, father John Abel, mother Ina Abel, brother John Vertis Abel. She is survived by son Cory and daughter Jenny; her pride and joy grandkids, Jordan and Cialinn; her siblings Bob and Elaine Abel (Murray, UT), Don and JoAnn Abel (American Fork, UT), Jeryl and Glen Crawford (Lyman, WY) and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Remember, this too shall pass.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am in the Copperview 8th Ward, 12154 So. 3600 W. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. and Friday 1 hour prior to services at the church.
