RIVERTON - Travis Clifton Johnson, 22, returned home to his Heavenly Father Dec. 24, 2001 surrounded by his family; from injuries sustained from an accidental fall.
Travis was born June 13, 1979, in Murray, Utah to Dennis and Ina Faye Abel Johnson. He was always the "young adult" in the neighborhood. He attended South Jordan Elem., South Jordan Middle, and graduated from Bingham High. He was a senior at the University of Utah majoring in Math and Physics. He had a passionate desire to teach high school. Travis was on the President's Honor Roll every semester he was at the U. He was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. Travis was called on a mission to El Salvador. While in high school, Travis used his incredible musical talents to build Men's Choir, A'Cappella, Bell Choir, and he was a Madrigal. He went on to join the Concert and Chamber Choirs at the U. and was hoping to be a member of Institute Encore next year.
Travis had an amazing mind. He used to say that his filing cabinets were filled with useless trivia. He was a mediator, confidant, and someone who would listen to anyone's problems and offer possible solutions.
He is survived by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Cory and Jenny Johnson and his favorite nephew, Jordan and grandmother, Fay Johnson. His Grandpa R.Z. Johnson and grandparents John and Ina Abel met him in heaven.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Riverton Stake Center 13400 So. 1800 W. Friends may call Friday evening from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Saturday one hour prior at the church. Interment Wasatch Lawn South Valley.
