Emil Petska, of 615 Buffalo St., Manitowoc, died while seated in a chair in his
apartment early Sunday evening. Neighbors in an adjoining apartment noting his
absence went into the living room and found him slumped over a chair, dead.
Death was due to heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born in Franklin, Kewaunee County, June 1, 1881 and spent the first 40
years of his life on his farm there. He sold the farm in 1940 and came to
Manitowoc. In 1924 he married Mrs. Wenzel Siebold. She died seven years ago.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Wenzel Fogeltanz and Manitowoc; step-son,
Ralph Siebold of Rt. 5, Manitowoc; three brothers, John of Manitowoc and Anton
and Joseph of Antigo; sister, Mrs. James Teteak of Riverside, Ill.; two
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Tuesday.
